Informal jam sessions during a UK tour in 2009 generated such a buzz between Emmylou Harris and country-rock pioneer Al Perkins, that they were determined to get together to produce some music that they themselves would enjoy hearing, and of course, playing. The result is Al Perkins' Big Dog 3.
